Jillian's

Jillian's is located at the beginning of El Paseo in Palm Desert. If you enjoy art galleries El Paseo is worth a visit but don't miss dinner at Jillian's. I strongly suggest reservations. The wine list has some very good values, the service is excellent without being obtrusive, and the atmosphere is cozy and romantic. I suggest asking for seating in the garden but any table is a good table.

The Cork Tree

Cork Tree is also located in Palm Desert at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Cook Street. Words fail me when I try to describe the unique presentation of the spectacular cuisine. It's one thing to say I've never been disappointed but I can say that every meal has been a surprise - a very delicious surprise. Please don't miss out on this and make sure you try the smoked onion rings with spicy aioli.

Cafe Des Beaux Arts

I'm starting to notice a theme here as Cafe Des Beaux Arts is also located in Palm Desert and is yet another restaurant on El Paseo. Not quite the exact feeling of being in a Parisian cafe but definitely as close as you'll get in the desert! You can't go wrong with breakfast lunch or dinner but I'd have to say my choice would be either breakfast, lunch or brunch. On our first trip to the area we ate at Cafe Des Beaux Arts at least once a day and sometime more.
